We are thrilled to share that the OLIWA Project was prominently featured at the first edition of the “Game of Research”, an inspiring scientific event organized by the Istituto Zooprofilattico Sperimentale (IZS) di Piemonte, Liguria e Valle d’Aosta in Torino, Italy.
The event served as a dynamic forum for young researchers across various IZS sections to present their recently concluded research. By breaking down traditional academic silos, the initiative facilitated a highly engaging exchange of cutting-edge methodologies, laboratory techniques, and procedural insights, fostering a vibrant spirit of scientific collaboration.
Spotlighting OLIWA’s Scientific Contributions
Representing the project, Maria Jimenez presented her PhD research within the broader framework of the OLIWA Project. Her presentation offered attendees a comprehensive overview of the OLIWA consortium’s overarching mission, followed by a deep dive into the ongoing in vitro activities.
Jimenez’s work is currently focused on the critical screening phase: identifying and analyzing the most effective natural extracts. These in vitro profiles are foundational, serving as the rigorous benchmarking mechanism required to select the optimal candidates for upcoming in vivo testing phases. Her presentation highlighted OLIWA’s commitment to driving sustainable agricultural and veterinary solutions through precise, data-driven biochemistry.
